Cupertino Residents face serious challenges including Lehigh pollution,
drought & water prices, school closures, affordable housing shortage,
and traffic congestion. Solutions to these issues require transparency
and accountability. I'll advocate for what Cupertino residents value,
including a diverse and vibrant community, suburban character,
top-quality schools, nice parks, successful businesses, and responsible
development with more ownership housing.
I'm Vice Chair of the Housing Commission. I bring a policy focus having
studied the General Plan, housing mandates, and environmental issues. I
raised resident concerns at council meetings and the Association of Bay
Area Governments. I organized a panel on Silicon Valley Housing with
selected representatives from five cities to discuss issues and
solutions . I will work to improve the quality of life that we all
cherish with decency~ diversity, and inclusiveness.
I moved from Bangalore to Cupertino for better opportunities. My spouse
and I are 29-year residents and have proudly raised t wo children who
attended Cupertino schools.
I'll listen to the residents, focus on providin g responsible leadership
a n d advocate for Cupertino at the local and State levels. Since 2018,
voters elected a resident-focused council, not controlled by developers
and special interests. Vote for Govind to maintain this focus.
