SPECIAL MEETING
At 6:00 p.m., Mayor Darcy Paul called the Special City Council Meeting to order. This was a
teleconference meeting with no physical location.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Darcy Paul, Vice Mayor Liang Chao (6:02 p.m.), and Councilmembers Kitty
Moore, Hung Wei, and Jon Robert Willey. Absent: None. All Councilmembers teleconferenced
for the meeting.
OPEN SESSION
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Subject: Consider adopting a resolution authorizing continued remote teleconference
meetings of the legislative bodies of the City of Cupertino for the period November 30,
2021 through December 30, 2021 pursuant to the Brown Act, as amended by AB 361
Recommended Action: Adopt Resolution No. 21‐111 authorizing continued remote
teleconference meetings of the legislative bodies of the City of Cupertino for the period
November 30, 2021 through December 30, 2021 pursuant to the Brown Act, as amended
by AB 361
City Clerk Kirsten Squarcia reviewed the staff report.
Councilmembers asked questions and made comments.
Paul moved and Chao seconded to adopt Resolution No. 21‐111 authorizing
continued remote teleconference meetings of the legislative bodies of the City of
Cupertino for the period November 30, 2021 through December 30, 2021 pursuant to the
Brown Act, as amended by AB 361. The motion carried unanimously.

RECESS
At 6:19 p.m., Mayor Paul reconvened the Special City Council Meeting. This was a
teleconference meeting with no physical location.
In open session before Council convened in closed session, the Mayor called for any members
of the public who were present to provide comment regarding any item on the agenda. No
members of the public requested to speak.
