SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
At 5:30 p.m. Mayor Steven Scharf called the Special City Council meeting to order. This was a
teleconference meeting with no physical location.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Steven Scharf, Vice Mayor Darcy Paul, and Councilmembers Liang Chao, Rod
Sinks, and Jon Robert Willey. Absent: None. All Councilmembers teleconferenced for the
meeting.
COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
1. Subject: Teen Commission Interviews
Recommended Action: Conduct Teen Commission interviews and make appointments for
three vacancies and at least two alternates
Council conducted the Teen Commission interviews and made the following
appointments.
Zehra Naqvi, two‐year term ending August 31, 2022 (Unanimous)
Maple Leung, two‐year term ending August 31, 2022 (Scharf, Paul, Chao, Willey)
Alex Leung, two‐year term ending August 31, 2022 (Scharf, Paul, Chao)
Alternates
Arya Shrivastava, 1st Alternate (Scharf, Paul, Sinks)
Sophia Chen, 2nd Alternate (Unanimous consent)
Council unanimously consented to waive Councilmember signatures on ballots and that
the online ballot nominations would serve as the official record.

At 10:15 p.m., Mayor Scharf adjourned the meeting.
