SPECIAL MEETING
At 5:00 p.m., Mayor Hung Wei called the Special City Council Meeting to order in the
Cupertino Community Hall Council Chamber, 10350 Torre Avenue.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Hung Wei, Vice Mayor Sheila Mohan, and Councilmembers Liang Chao, J.R.
Fruen and Kitty Moore. Absent: none.
COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
1. Subject: Teen Commission Interviews
Recommended Action: Conduct Teen Commission interviews and make appointments
for five vacancies and at least two alternates
Written Communications for this item included an amended Attachment A – Interview
Schedule.
Mayor Wei opened the public comment period and, seeing no one, closed the public
comment period.
Councilmembers asked questions and made comments.
Council conducted interviews for five vacancies on the Teen Commission.
Council voted for their top five candidates.

Council unanimously consented to appoint Rory Hu and Anika Mukherjee as primary
members to the Teen Commission for two-year terms (2023-2025).
Council voted for up to five candidates to appoint three additional primary members.

Council unanimously consented to appoint Rory Hu, Anika Mukherjee, Peter Chen,
Shivika Biswari, Rohin Garg, as primary members to the Teen Commission for two-year
terms (2023-2025); and to appoint Aaryan Doshi as first alternate and Harly Liu as
second alternate.
ADJOURNMENT
At 8:55 p.m., Mayor Wei adjourned the Special City Council Meeting.
