OBJECTIVE; Knapps live in Brown house, sharing ownership with City.
1. City appraises Don Brown's house to determine current market value.
2. City purchases Don Brown's house and becomes 100% owner.
3. Financing of house
A. Knapp invests between $50,000 and $100,000.
B. City loans Knapp between $200,000 and $300,000 at LAIF rate.
C. The mix of down payment and loan will depend on refinancing of
Knapp's house in Los Gatos,
4. Knapp's share of house is determined by dividing the amount of Knapp's
down payment and loan by appraised value of the property.
5. Timing of Knapp's move into Brown house will be worked out between
Brown and Knapp.
6. Within six months of ceasing to be city Manager, the property is
appraised, and either Knap City's share or City buys Knapp's share,
at Knapp's option. N
