OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
REQUESTING THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION TO
EVALUATE THE POTENTIAL FOR THE ACQUISITION OF
HISTORICAL MINING IMPLEMENTS CURRENTLY HOUSED WITHIN
THE LOST MINE RESTAURANT. PREFERABLY, THE ACQUISITION
WOULD NOT INVOLVE THE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS.
A use permit has been approved to demolish the Lost Mine Restaurant

contains several h.istoricrally significant artifacts which may be of some
historical value to the City of Cupertino.
The Planning Commission also suggests that if the Parks and Recreation

of Cupertino that Prometheus Development and Vallco Park be contacted to
determine whether any of the artifacts can be incorporai-Pi into existing
or future displays of historical interest.
