Reso 2800 8-U-86 RESOLUTION NO. 2800 (Minute Order) OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO REQUESTING THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION TO EVALUATE THE POTENTIAL FOR THE ACQUISITION OF HISTORICAL MINING IMPLEMENTS CURRENTLY HOUSED WITHIN THE LOST MINE RESTAURANT. PREFERABLY, THE ACQUISITION WOULD NOT INVOLVE THE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS. A use permit has been approved to demolish the Lost Mine Restaurant building and to replace it with an office building. Said restaurant contains several h.istoricrally significant artifacts which may be of some historical value to the City of Cupertino. The Planning Commission also suggests that if the Parks and Recreation Commission determines that said artifacts have no significance to the City of Cupertino that Prometheus Development and Vallco Park be contacted to determine whether any of the artifacts can be incorporai-Pi into existing or future displays of historical interest.
