The footing at the location in question is only supporting the raised floor at the living area side and the wall itself between the garage and the living area, no roof load is being supported by the footing. The roof framing above is parallel to the wall and footing. Double 2X6 is to be added over this new opening to support the floor joi3t that is directly supported over the opening, see attached details for new framing at the opening.
