16.16.020 Article 100 a.TM~^~ed - Definitions.
Article 100 is amended by adding thereto the following:
A. Electrical ~: far the purpose of this article, an
~ectric~ Contractor shall be a person holding a valid
electrical contractor's linen-ge issued by the State of
California.
B. Jwrneyman Electrician: A Jaureyman Electrician is an
electrician qualified by training and experier:ca to do
electrical work in conjunction with new constrtibctian arxl/or
rework of existing system.
C. Maintenarrs Electrician: :An electrician qualified by
and experience to do the rea:rring work required to
k a facility in sad: oonditicn that it may be utilized at
its designed capacity and efficiency, to do repair work by
replaos:ner-t ar overhaul of constituent parts ar materials to
keep ar restore a lacility to a oorditians substantially
equivalent to its anginal ar design capacity ar efficiency.

Electrical work shall be done only by:
a. owrser/occupant
b. Electrical contractors who are in oa~lianoe with the State
liceasirxJ laws
c. General Building Contractor with current B-1 lioessse in
conjunction with building permit only.

16.16.030 Electrical fee schedule
Electrical fees shall ba paid to the City as eat forth in the latest
resolution adopted by the City. (Ord. 1441, (part),1988. Otti. 1379 (P(art)
1987)
16.16.040 In retation
A. the language used in this Dods, and the California Electrical Code,
whiff is made a part of this Dade by reference, is intended to amvey
the oo~ and accepted meaning familiar to the electrical industry.
B. ~e Building official or his assistants is authorized to determine
the intent and meaning of any provisions of this Dods. Such
detenoirsation .shall be made in writing aryl a record kept which record

electricians for the purpose of installation, altesnntion, mnintenanoe or
