Item 4A: Surface fungus and minor damage noted to the bottom of support post on rear
porch. In my opinion the infected wood is not structurally weakened at this
time.
RECOMMENDATION: Remove surface fungus. Drill into and insert 'ITmmpel'
® fungicide rods (Anhydrous disodium octaborate) into the infected portions
of the wood and seal holes with putty. These rods will remain effective
against fungal growth for a period of one to ten years depending upon, the
degree of moisture absorption into the wood. The homeowner can maximize the
effectiveness of the fungicide rods by keeping the wood well sealed and
• maintained annually.

dressing area. Damage appears to extend into the subfloor. This appears , to
have been caused by shower leak.
RECOMMENDATION: Remove floor covering and wood underlayment. Repair
subflooring as found needed. Install new wood underlayment and our standard
grade vinyl linoleum. (Note: If damage is found to extend into or under any
walls or "built-ins", a supplemental report and bid will be issued.)
