o 1033 (Citizen Corps Volunteers), 2499 hours volunteered
o 35 New volunteers registered in Volunteer Portal
o Public Education:
o Monthly Personal/Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness classes (51
attendees)
o Public Safety Forum presentation
o ARK Open Houses, 6 reporting zones
o 3 Block Party Emergency Preparedness presentations
o 1 safety presentations with Sheriff (21 people)
o 1 Orientation for new graduates (6 graduates)
o 2 Requested Activations, COVID Testing, Cooling Center
o 0 AlertSCC messages, 1431 Total Volunteers (Citizen Corps, Block Leaders,
Neighborhood Watch) members in the data base (not updated since 1/2020)
o email community development emails to be redistributed to our volunteer network
o 1033 Citizen Corps Volunteers 12 monthly emails
o As needed Public Safety messages sent to volunteers to share with their
neighborhoods, Weather, Health, Power, Parks etc.
Steering Committee meetings to address action items from last year’s exercise and direction of
future activities with the following teams:
o Marketing and Outreach
o Monthly Citizen Corps message and message supplements as needed, new
data item reported above
o Public ARK Open Houses, all six opened to introduce the community to
their Reporting Zones
o Community messaging multiples time throughout the year re: COVID
Public Health, Weather
o Evacuation plan and mapping feedback request project
o Volunteer Day, Earth Day, Day N Night Festival etc.
o Process and Data Management
o Pandemic Field Operations Plan approved and deployed and remains in
place, aligning with County Health Department

Neighborhood Watch components are being included and being revised
o Volunteer Annex, Appendices are being worked on

o Volunteer Annex Capabilities training plan

o Participated in all activations and exercises in planning
o Developed DOC SOP, Just in Time Training and DOC Check List for Auto and
requested activation, added to the Volunteer Annex Appendices
o CARES; Cupertino Amateur Radio Emergency Services

o NACCHO Grant awarded to MRC for $25,000.00
o Two recruiting events held for Cupertino Medical Professionals
o Supplies list approved, ready to purchase
o First Aid Booths for many community events have been completed. These allow
for our Volunteers to train our Logistics, Notification, Operations procedures plus
support community outreach
o Tools and Supplies
o Supplies being maintained
o ARK lock box codes to be reset for 2023
