All trees on-site are considered Protected Trees, defined in Chapter 14.18.050 as Approved Development Trees, and there are no trees or plant material on abutting properties that could influence site design or be impacted by the project. All trees on-site are to be preserved for the duration of the project, pursuant to the following: Fourteen (14) O/ea europaea `Swan Hill' (Swan Hill Olive) in the meadow surrounding the existing bio-swale are proposed to be preserved in their existing condition by boxing and storing said trees on Apple property. The purpose of boxing and storing the trees is protect the trees from the construction process. In addition, with the change in grade and the intensity of the construction it will be impossible to protect the trees in place. Temporarily removing the trees from the path of construction has been deemed the best method of preservation. The 14 trees will be maintained and reinstalled as a part of the project completion.
