Jim O., Wanted to know what the Disaster Council’s role is and what direction the
City Council expectations.
Bob C., Water District had a workshop and he shared the winter rain forecast

A. County Fire OES-
a. Joe G., Planning group has delivered EOP template to Cupertino,
Damage assessment application using Survey 123 is being worked on,
Readiness group working on EOC infrastructure, Alternate EOC
exercise happened, Training group handed out Yellow Command
Exercise power point and Advisory group working on coordinating
training in Op Area

B. County Fire Public Education- Gracie H., no report, handed out PEP, CERT
and CERT refresher flyers
C. Cupertino OES- Clare F., EOP group started working on the template
provided by County OES, participated in Yellow Command, discussion about
the EOC and Alternate EOC,
D. Cupertino Citizen Corps- Jim Oberhofer, Ken Ericksen
a. Reports presented for CARES, CERT and MRC
NEW BUSINESS
a. Disaster Council By-Laws- Katy N., gave a briefing about the status of
City Council’s requested project to get Disaster Council to meet standards
and comply with ordinance regarding membership, with a group
discussion
b. One Concern- Bill M., gave an update about the status and ongoing
relationship with the vendor
c. City Reorganizing- Bill M., brought us up to date on the changes and OES
is now reporting to the City Manager’s Office, Bill M. is the interim direct
supervisor while the Deputy City Manager position is vacant
OLD BUSINESS
a. Citizen Corps Training Calendar approval- Approved
b. Emergency Notification- Bill M., recent Air Quality AlertSCC, social
media, Nextdoor message sent, discussion about SB821 and Opt-IN
to AlertSCC by text by sending text to 888777 and entering your zip
