SUBJECT AND ISSUE
Grant a deferred compensation contribution for the City Manager in the amount of three
percent of salary.
BACKGROUND
On November 29, 2005 in closed session, the City Council granted a three percent deferred
compensation contribution for the City Manager in recognition of excellent performance.
The City Manager has not received a merit increase since July 15, 2002.
FISCAL IMPACT
The 3% contribution equates to an annual cost of $5,878.82.

RESOLUTION NO. 05-205
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
GRANTING A 3% DEFERRED COMPENSATION CONTRIBUTION TO THE
CITY MANAGER IN RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
FROM NOVEMBER 28,2004 THROUGH NOVEMBER 27, 2005.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to grant a 3% deferred compensation
contribution to the City Manager in recognition of excellent performance, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has not received a merit increase since July 15,
2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Cupertino does hereby grant a 3% deferred compensation contribution for the City
Manager effective November 28,2005.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Cupertino this 6th day of December 2005 by the following vote:
