OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A USE PERMIT TO EXPAND AN
EXISTING 5,000 SO. FT. OFFICE BUILDING BY ADDING
APPROXIMATELY 6,500 SO. FT. FOR A TOTAL OF
11,500 SO. FT.
APPLICANT: Lawrence Guy

SUBMITTED: March 2, 1984
LOCATION: South side of Silverado Avenue approximately 140
ft. east of De Anza Boulevard
------------------------------------------------------------------
FINDINGS
The Planning Commission finds that General Plan Amendment
1-GPA-80, Policy 6 a(6) was misinterpreted in terms of
calculating permitted floor area. The ".33 FAR-+ 1,000 sq. ft.
or .40 FAR whichever is lesser" policy should apply to the entire
project site rather than individual properties which comprise the
project site. The total permitted building area should be
10,760+- sq. ft. not 11,500 sq. ft.

adjoining the development area, the Director of Planning and
Development may certify the change on the revised plan. If
such approval is withheld, the applicant may appeal to the
Planning Commission. If the changes are material, the Director
