Subj: Report of Director's Decision Regarding a Minor Modification
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of
minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and
Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner
to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days,
Application
Application 32-U-77 (Mod.). Personal Communications Services (PCS) Wireless Utility
Facility: installation of a utility cabinet and 6 five foot panel antennas on the roof of an existing
storage locker building. The applicant is Pacific Bell Mobile Services.
Description
The antennas are not visible from neighboring properties nor from Interstate 280 (see photo
montage). Regarding possible impacts from radio frequency exposure, exposure to persons
inside a building on which antennas are mounted would be similar to a cordless phone and less
than a typical operating microwave oven (see Exhibit 1 for a comparison graph). No personnel
will be on site, and there will be infrequent maintenance visits.
The Director of Community Development approves the installation of the facility according to
the plans provided (T-1, A-1.1, A-2.1, C-1. C-2).

ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER.

THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL RECEIVE WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION TO
PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO STARTING WORK ON ANY ITEM NOT
CLEARLY DEFINED BY THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS/ CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPERVISE AND DIRECT THE PROJECT DESCRIBED

CONSTRUCTION MEANS, METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES AND PROCEDURES
AND FOR COORDINATING ALL PORTIONS OF THE WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S/ VENDOR'S SPECIFICATIONS UNLESS NOTED

ORDINANCES. CONTRACTOR SHALL GIVE ALL NOTICES AND COMPLY WITH ALL
LAWS, ORDINANCES. RULES, REGULATIONS AND LAWFUL ORDERS OF ANY PUBLIC
AUTHORITY, MUNICIPAL AND UTILITY COMPANY SPECIFICATIONS, AND LOCAL
AND STATE JURISDICTIONAL CODES BEARING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE
WORK.
