Feng; City Attorney's Office; Darcy Paul; Jon Robert Willey; Liang Chao; Cupertino City Manager's Office; Rod Sinks; Steven Scharf Subject:City attorney performance review 6/16/2020 - for public comment CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the  sender and know the content is safe.    Mayor Scharf and Members of the City Council:     I note the occurrence of yet another performance review for the City Attorney. I refer you all back to my comments of  6/5/2020 and incorporate them herein by reference.    I must also express my disappointment with several of the comments made during the public comment period at the  6/5/2020 closed session. Many of the remarks, especially those of Mr. Bern Steves, Esq., became entreaties to legal  adventurism on behalf of an extreme and exclusionary view of the city's mission as a public entity. At this time of fiscal  stringency in particular, all members of this council would do well to respect that the city's coffers reflect taxpayer  contributions and that myriad beneficial uses exist for these funds, none of which should include reckless legal  expenditures.    Many thanks for your attention,    J.R. Fruen  Cupertino resident
