ROLL CALL Present Members: Chairman Gong, Hoxsie, Lim, Newton and Jackson Absent Members: None Staff Present: Tom Robillard, Planner I Michele Bjurman, Planner I CONSENT CALENDAR: Item 1) APPLICATION ASAC 51,759.12 - TANDEM COMPUTERS Requesting review and approval to amend a previously approved sign program. The site is located at 10400 Ridgeview Court, approximately 700 feet fran Pruneridge Avenue. Application ASAC 51,759.12 was approved by a 5 - 0 vote per the findings and conditions contained within the Model Resolution. INFORMAL REVIEW: Item 2) APPLICATION 3-U-90 - CROUTONS INCORPORATED Requesting early review of a planned development Use Permit to convert the former Barclays Bank's site to a dine-in restaurant with 115 seats and incidental sale of beer and wine with food orders. The site is located at, 10100 S. DeAnza Boulevard, approximately 400 feet fran the southeast corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and DeAnza Boulevard. Tan Robillard reviewed the Staff Report noting Staff concerns with parking circulation and landscaping. Jarvis MacNiven and Roxie Rapp, Crouton representatives, expressed their willingness to work with staff regarding their concerns and answered questions of the Commission. Pat Jackson abstained fran discussion due to possible conflict • of interest. ASAC MINUTES FOR THE MIMING OF FEBRUARY RUARY 26, 1990 PAGE -2- The general consensus of the Ctarission is that the proposed •desert landscaping techniqueis too much of a deviation from the adjacent landscaped ' reas. The addition of more greenery and replacing the proposed gravel with wood chips or turf would be more acceptable. Alsb concern was expressed that the parking circulation needs to be worked out with Staff. Item 3) APPLICATION 1-U-90 - , TERRY BROWN CONSTRUCTION Requesting early review of a planned'development Use Permit to construct a detached residence on j;an existing lot within a planned development zoning district. Tam Robillard reviewed the Staff Report noting that the R-1 Ordinance Development ' would be used as a guideline for review of this project. Terry Brown, project appl'cant, expressed willingness to work with Staff, described the site setting and the project, and answered questions of the Canmission. The general consensus fran ASAC is that all portions of the project should meet the R-1 1 Development Standards. ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR: None • COMMITTEE REPORTS: ORTS: Item 4) It was moved, seconded,and approved on a 5-0 vote to continue Item 4 to the meeting of Mardi 12, 1990. APPROVAL OF M NUEFS: Item 5) Minutes of the regular meeting of February 12, 1990 approved with no modifications.
