Logue explained that planters at the ,base of the post would
undermine the footings in that glu-lam beams as cross-members
require painting and maintenance due to weathering.
Bob Hoxsie stated he did not like the proposal as the kiosks
bring the building too close to the street and the kiosk in front
of the door blocked access to the building. He also stated that
the bulky appearance of the kiosks needed to be softened.
Carlos Newton stated he liked the proposal and thought it was
refreshing to the area.
Wayland Lim stated he did not particularly like the proposal and
would rather see the space frame built.
1110 Wayne Gong stated the cement plaster material, with appropriate
colors, would work well for the building. He also stated that
glu-lam beams for cross-members would be an inappropriate
material due to maintenance and the need to paint them.
The consensus was that Scheme A would be the appropriate
configuration for the kiosks.
