ASAC STAFF SUMMARY COMMENTS -- MEETING OF MAY 9, 1988
PAGE -2-
1) Existing sign of similar size and design was approved in 1978. Proposed
changes entail:
A) Slight increase in overall face area (approx. 9.5 s.f.) in order to add
the decorative oval element which completes the Vallco Village
logo.
B) Widen the readerboard element to be flush with the edges of the
cabinet above and below.
C) Increase the number of tenant names on the lower panel to three,
including off premises identification of the previousl Hotel to the south.
An Exception appears justified as a public convenience since the
Pruneridge entry to Vallco Village is also the only public street leading
to the Marriott Courtyard hotel.
2) The colors and typography of the amended sign are consistent with the
updated display concept for Vallco Village appearing on other street
frontage signs serving the complex.
Approval of Application ASAC 51,785.1 according to the findings and
conditions specified in the attached model resolution.
