C. The Sign Ordinance typically limits office buildings to one sign. In the past,
staff has utilized the more liberal commercial standards in evaluating this
site given its lengthy frontage. The Ordinance limits commercial
properties to two ground signs, ASAC approved the third sign finding that
it has a low profile design which is unobtrusive when viewed from the
street.
D. The proposed sign is larger and has a more monolithic appearance than
the existing sign. Staff does not believe that a finding of unobtrusiveness
can be made for this sign.
RECOMMENDATION:
A. Staff suggests that the Committee evaluate the proposal to determine if it
will detract from the overall appearance of the site. Further, the
Committee should decide if appropriate findings can be made to
support the application.
B. Staff recommends denial of Application ASAC 51,771.1 per the findings
specified within the model denial resolution. Staff has enclosed a model
approval resolution should the Committee elect to approve the
application.
C. The decision of ASAC if final unless appealed to Council within five
working days.

A. Staff recommends that ASAC direct the applicant to revise the ground
