Minutes of the regular meeting of March 1', 1984 were
approved as corrected to note Member Nobel present, with
subsequent notation that she left the meeting at
approximately 8:30 p.m.
INFORMAL REVIEW OF USE PERMIT APPLICATION:

Following a comprehensive presentation on the design
parameters described by the Project Architect, the
Committee a>:pressed no concern regarding the proposed
parking structure.
NEW BUSINESS:

office building located at the southeast quadrant of
Miller Avenue and Richwood Drive.

the Committ�-r noted the concern expressed in the staff
report rE-garding the proposed "skirt" supportinq the
sign. After dicussinq alternatives, the Committee
modified the sign supporting structure to heavy wooden
posts, the final configuration of which shall be subject
to staff appr ovaJ. at the bui 1 di nq permit level.
Consensus: Appro-..al of Application HC-51,1:'= .1 subject
to the Findings and Conditions contained in ASAC

northeast quadrant of Silverado Avenue and South De Anza
Boulevard.

The Committee expressed no concerns with the proposed
architectural concept of the building, except to note
that greater similarity may be desirable between the
three roof element projections.
Regarding the proposed site plan, the Committee
requested the following changes:
- Addition of a continuous planter strip on
the north property line from the margin of
De Anza Boulevard to the existing sound
wall.
Reduction i n- width 'of the existing drive -way
opening on De Anza boulevard to accommodate
.one-way ingress only and deletion of three
parking stalls closest to the west property
line to increase frontage landscaping. It
was the consensus of the Committee that this
solution implements the intent of Policy
t-8, Strategy/ 2 of -the Land Use Element of
the General Plan, without disrupting public
convenience or safety in accessing the
b► si me ss location.
