SUi'1MARY MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE
APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF FEBRUARY 13, 1984. MEETING HELD IN THE
CONFERENCE ROOM OF.CITY HALL, CUPERT.INO, CALIFORNIA 95014.
The Meeting was called to order at 7_:05 p.m. by acting Chairman
Raymond Rooker.who led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Committe Members Morrison, Nobel and Rooker
Absent: Committee Member Miller and Chairman Higdon
Staff Present: Mark Caughey, Planner II
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The acting Chairman expressed concern that that
..portion of the ASAC Minutes for January 9, 1984
concerning Informal Review.of Use Permit 39-U-83
(Edwin J. Meyers) did not adequately express the.
Committee's concern relative to maintaining the
existing landscaped setback from North De Anza
Boulevard for all new and remodeled construction
on -site. The Committee asked that the minutes
be revised to reflect this concern in more
concrete terms, and to report same to the City
Council..
INFORMAL REVIEW OF USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS:
Item 1) Application__1_U_84- Sobrato_Develoement_Gomgany - Approval
of a three-story office building with basement parking
located at the northeast corner of Mariani Avenue and North
De Anza Boulevard.
Staff informed the Committee that the applicant had
requested a continuance on this item.
The Committee asked that the applicant submit additional
information regarding exterior materials and possibly a
point perspective drawing of the building elevations to more
clearly.understand its design.
NEW BUSINESS:
Item 2) AgelicationHC=511593_1_=_Pinn_Brothers_Construction_Company
Approval of grading and landscaping for a 46 unit townhouse
development located at the northeast quadrant of Rodrigues
and Torre Avenues.

inihibitions. to further reductions of pad gr'.ades within the
project.

modification of the frontage landscape concept. As a wider
concern hotrEver-, the Committee discussed the apparent lack
o a nordin�:ted street frontages landscaping approach for
Torre riverue a5 a result of the incremental development of -
the .streetsc.ape.. They asl ed staff to prepare a "strip -map"
depicting the �tatr.ts rf _ landscaping approvals for the.
rar:ious projects in the area to dal"e,. with special emphasis
or, gror!red cover and tree selections. The -map wi 1 I be
discussed 'at the February 27, 1904 ASAC Meeting, possibly
