Reso 1004HC-51,564.0 ® RESOLUTION NO. 1004 is 9 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A SIGN PROGRAM AND AN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.3 OF SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 746 TO ALLOW A GROUND SIGN ON A SITE WITH 41 FT. OF STREET FRONTAGE. PROPERTY OWNER: Dean R. Frisbie APPLICANT: H & R Block, Incorporated ADDRESS: 4984 Stevens Creek Boulevard, San Jose, California 95129 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: 20021 Stevens .Creek Boulevard, Cupertino, California 95014 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDINGS: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. The requested exception is justified due to the lack of a good location for a sign on the building's Stevens Creek Boulevard frontage and due to the obstruction of the front of the building by a mature tree. 2. A ground sign shall provide continuity with the other ground signs along Stevens Creek Boulevard. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation for approval is based on Exhibit F 2nd Revision of Application HC-51,564.0 except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9. The sign shall be reduced to a height of 4 ft. 10. The sign base shall be concrete t:o match the building, 11. The sign cabinet shall be metal.
