Reso 1019HC-51,015.818 ® RESOLUTION NO. 1019 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING ARCHITECTURAL, SITE, LANDSCAPING AND SIGNING APPROVAL FOR A 32 SQ. FT. KIOSK TO BE USED FOR A WALK-UP PHOTO SERVICE. RECOMMENDATION FOR SIGN APPROVAL INCLUDES RECOMMENDATION FOR SIGN EXCEPTION TO ALLOW TWO WALL SIGNS. PROPERTY OWNER: Pauline Woodruff and Ethyl W. Wilson APPLICANT: Fotomat Corporation ADDRESS: 1755 Comstock Street, Santa Clara, California 94301 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Crossroads Center parking lot, southeast of the intersection of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Bandley Drive. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDINGS: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. The kiosk is architecturally consistent with Dalton's Bookstore which is located nearby. 2.' The kiosk's location is appropriate.for the center. ® 3. The kiosk shall be used for walk-up service only (no drive -up). 0 4. Signing: a. Signing is consistent with signing on Dalton's Bookstore. b. Two signs are needed to provide building symmetry. C. Total sign area is under the 20 sq. ft. minimum typically allowed any business. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A lst Revision, B lst Revision and C of Application HC-51,015.818 except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9. Three street trees shall be planted along Stevens Creek Boulevard. 10. Landscaping shall be consistent.with the landscaping existing in the Crossroads Center parking lot. - 1 - HC-51,015.818 Resolution No. 1019 11. Parking stalls displaced by the kiosk shall be relocated. 12. Signs (individually -mounted letters) shall be located on east and west sides of building. Signs shall not exceed 1 ft. in height and shall be blue in color. 13. Planters shall have a stucco finish.
