The Planning ti.on give n n after Technicial said this application was first passed.by this Committee approval by th.s on January 17, 1972. Just before it went before the City Council body. the question arose as to the_interpreta.tion of "210,linear feet". Chairman Galto asked for comments 'from the audience. He Precautions j asked what precautions have been madeagainst deterioration caused :against by wind, rain and sun. Mr.. Siebert said the corners are mitered weathering and -all -possible openings will -'be sealed T, ith silicon, He added that -this sign will remain only four years at the most. Mr. Siebert answered Chairman Gatto that the area between the poles will not be open, but will have a panel theree Manber Adams noted that this site is in Vallco Park, and they have Proposal OK'd b, their own sign controls. Mr. Siebert said he works closely with Vallco Park Mr. Bill Tagg, Vallco Park Architect, and this proposal has been of fice approved by the Vallco Park office. Member Sallan asked the staff if. the City has any recourse in the C ty's recourse event a sign (not necessarily this one) deteriorates. The -Planning: Technician said a condition added to the motion would be one way of ensuring any deterioration would be corrected. Then, if the matter were brought to the attention of the City; we could do something about it. Chairman Gatto asked for comments frog the audience. There were none.
