The City Council approved the plan- with the deletion of Condition No. 2 since it would be difficult to enforce. Special attention was called to Condition 11_. wherein the building materials are to be reviewed by this Committee. Slides of the site plan, landscaping' and renderings of the proposed i°building were displayed. Rebuttal Their plan is to create.a variation in elevation. They would prefer to group the. trees to help:: draw attention. to tt�eir buildinb The plantings along the building were deliberately left low.to allow, the, building . to "float" e Member Sallan said she believes that what you,would.see between the perimeter plantings would be the parked cars rattier than just the building. Filling in these plants will help, not hurt the building..-.She,likes the choice of plants but would, -,like to see more of them and some trees added. . He said it is standard procedure on their permanent buildings to have free-standing letters on the wall. This is not planned for the temporary building. Discusison of activities relating to the General Plan. The Planning Technician said the Assistant Planner is arranging to have these meetings on [-Jednesdays ot:ier than those of the regular meeting of the H-Control so the Co:1_-nittee can attend. 11. Status Report Vice -Chairman Adams asked if this C=_mittee had ever reviewed the Ferris Poodle Salon sizn. The staff will shed: on this.
