Amendment Authorization
Proposals for development that include General Plan amendments are reviewed by _
the City Council twice a year. At that time, the Council decides whether or not -
the applicant may submit an application for a General Plan amendment.
Authorization does not guarantee approval of the projects. Authorization directs
staff to review the submitted application, including project, environmental review
and public outreach.

On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, the City Council will consider two proposals:

2) The Oaks (21255 -21267 Stevens Creek Blvd) - A new mixed-use

In 2013, the City Council initiated a focused General Plan Amendment and a State -mandated update to the
Housing Element of the General Plan. This process includes the preparation of an Environmental Impact
Report (EIR) to study the environmental effects of the General Plan Amendments and Housing Element
updates being considered. The Draft ElIR is now assailable for review at City Hall, local libraries and online
at: www.cupertinogpa.org. Paper copies or CD's may be purchased at City Hall. Written comments may be
submitted at the website or sent to City Hall at 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, CA 95014. Responses to
written comments regarding the adequacy of the Draft EIR received during the public review period (between
mid-June and end -of -July) will be provided in the Final EIR expected to be published in Fall 2014. Study
sessions and public hearings for the projects are expected to be held between August and October 2014.
Please join us for a chance to submit written comments on the Draft EIR!
