RESOLUTION NO. 9636
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C1TY OF CUPERTINO
APPOINTING THE DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, Section 2.18.010(D) of the city's municipal code pmvides that the
City Council may retain or employ a Deputy City Attomey as may be needed to assist the
Ciry Attomey or to take charge of any legal matters or litigution As mny be needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to nppoint a Deputy Ciry Attomey to net as
temporary City Attomey in the absence of the City Attomey, to uct us chief prosecuting
i attomey with respect to ciry ordinance violations, and to assist the City Attomey with
i respect to all legal mntters relating to the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by thc City Council of the City of
Cupertino us follows:
1. Eileen Murray is hereby appointed Deputy City Attomey.
2. Eiteen Mwray will be the as chief prosecutin~ attomey und shall assist the
City Attomey with respect to all legal matters reluting to the city.
3. In the nbsence of the Ciry Attomey, the Deputy City Attorney will act as
City Attomey.
