CC Resolution No. 9273 RESOLUTION NO. 9273 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 7259 AND DESIGNATING THE ORDER OF SUCCESSION OF THE OFFICE OF CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, the continuing function of the Office of the City Manager in the event of a state of extreme emergency, state of disaster, or local emergency or local disaster, as these terms are defined in Chapter 1 of Division 7 of the Military and Veterans Code of the State of California, is necessary to assure the effective operation of the government of the city in coping with conditions which may result in extreme peril to the life, property and resources of the people of this city; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cupertino as follows: 1, Approval is granted to the City Manager to appoint the following officers or department heads of the city to serve as city manager pro tempore whenever the city manager is unavailable, and in the following order of succession: A, Bert Viskovich, Director of Public Works B, Carol Atwood, Director of Administrative Services 2, The term "unavailable" as used in the preceding paragraph means that the city manager is either killed, missing, or so seriously injured as to be unable to attend meetings or otherwise perform his duties, The city manager pro tempore shall serve until the city manager is available or until his successor is appointed by the city council.
