The Chief Building Inspector pointed out that the entrant:
signs can be permanent as it comes within the Sign Ordinance,
and owners of the lots involved sometimes do wish to retain.
the signs.
Mr. Irwin felt that if this is in keeping with the Somerset
tract, there should be no problem.
Moved by Mr. Small, seconded by Mr. Stern that Application:
239--HC-66 be recommended for approval at City Council, and
subject to plan submitted.

C. Application: 241 -HC -66, Warner Wilson, 100 Las Lomas Dr.,
Aptos, requesting Arch. & Site Approval to convert existing
building at 20730 Stevens Creek Blvd. to an antique shop.
Mr. Wilson stated that this cottage type house was built
38 years ago. This application was previously approved for
a dress shop, but the tenant decided against it. Use Permit
for this antique shop has been obtained through the Planning

The redwood, oak, and cypress trees are 100 years old.
Will try to save as many trees as possible to keep the area
attractive. Furnace to be converted to gas. Nothing will
be done to the building except to clean it up. Exterior
display will be kept to a minimum, 2 or 3 pieces. No .
furniture junk yard will be allowed. Sign could possibly
be placed on,existing standard on the premise. Help will
live upstairs and first floor will be the sales area.
Frontage on Stevens Creek Blvd. will have curbs and gutters
but no sidewalk. Owner will widen parts of the circular
driveway to width of two cars.
Mr. Wilson feels the 1500'sq. ft. parking space is adequate,
and in this type of busines there would be no more than 1
or 2 cars at a time. Chairman Fitch commented that the
200 sq. ft. per car could accommodate -5 cars after the
widening of the driveway.
Moved by Mr. Small, seconded by Mr. Irwin that Application:

perpicturesand plans submitted, subject to meet with
building codes of the City and with a 16' wide driveway
minimum, also refer to Application 161 -HC -65.
