Mr. Gil Rcvianek, Landscape Architect, 226 South Murphy,
Sunnyvale, presented plans for the entrance sign for the
Valley Green Apartments. The sin will be adobe block
with white plastic back -round and 1.0'r black letters
and back lighting;. .9
The sign surface is well within the Sign Ordinances It
was pointed out that the plans showed the maximum height
of the sign to be 611.E", which is too high. The archi-
tect agreed to leave the �" cap off the top.
Moved by Mr. Stern, seconded by Mr.. Irwin, to recommend
for approval application 238-hC-66, based on the plans sub-
mitted and also subject to the conformance with the maxi-
mum height limitation ender the Sign Ordinance for entrance
sic-structure�u

Control approval to construct a 1500 sq. ft,
rest
to be located on the south side of Stevens Creel; "at�rant,
Blvd., immediately east of the Mobil Gil Service
Station on Stelling Road,
Mr. Ahamnos presented a rendering of the
proposed
Restaurant , (named for the De Anza Dons) with Spanisl the
parapet and adobe brick exterior walls, all the way around.
There will be a wrought iron fence alon the east property
line, which will be elevated 7-21", and black wrought
tables and chairs for those who prefer to eat ought iron
outside.
The applicant has agreed to move the building in from the
property line. The red barn will be removed.
There was some concern about keeping the exterior cleaned
up and free from litter. Mr. Ahamnos said that with his
investment, he could not afford not to keep it cleaned up,
Dr. Kowitz complimented the applicant on his fine proposal.
Moved by Mr. Irwin, seconded by Dr, Kowitz, to recommend for
approval application 236 -HC -66, subject, to the 10 standard
conditions, per the plans as submitted; sign and landscaping
to be submitted to this committee prior to final inspection.
