Small said he goes by that corner many times a day. That
up of buildings is not of the standard that we are gettcing
One of these days all those buildings will be coming
n. That whole corner needs.to be upgraded. The pizza
,lor's signs don't de-,ract appreciably from the aesthetics
that whole corner.
Mr. Small proposed the Committee go along with this situation,
status quo, for six mon"Jis or a year, to see what happens at
that corner. He could really see no specific problem caused
by this business alone.
Mr. Chalman said the si M on the side of the building has at
least lit up the corner.
Dr. Kowitz felt the whole corner needs reworking. This
business does not detract any more from the corner than the
rest of the area. He areed to go along with this for six
months or so.
Mr. Stern agreed'. It is no worse or better than it was. As
far as the economics of this are concerned, how long can we
expect this situation to go on? Mr. Coppola told the Commit-
tee that he has spoken with Mr. Cali, who said it may be
within a month, or within a year; there are no definite plans
as yet.
Moved by Mr. Smal?, seconded by Mr. Stern, to rescind the
conditions placed on application 1911 -HC -65, in the Minutes
of August 30, 1965; that the Committee recommends the appli-
cant be allowed to continue with the signs he presently has
erected for six months and the matter will be reviewed again
on September 13, 1966.
