V ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Mr. James T. Yard, representing the Post Office, was present In the
audience, and addressed the Council on the subject of the proposed new
Post Office building on Stevens Creek Blvd. He objected to setting the
building back from the east property line IT" to the west,. He stated,
when told by the Council that the developer agreed to this at the last
seating, that the developer should not have taken it upon himself to
agree to this set -back. He also stated that the Building Official app-
roved the building as presented, and that the foundation is already in.
The Mayor explained to Mr. Yard that the Council has the final app-
roval and that the H Control Committee acts on architecture and site
approval. He asked Mr. Yard how far the Poet Office building will ex-
tend north of the shopping center at Stevens Creek Blvd. and Highway 9•
Warner Wilson, from the audience, showed on the black board that
the Past Office building will abut to church property.
Moved by Councilman Balch that the Post "flee building application
be approved with the 5" set -back, as originally presented.
Upon recosmerdati-in of the City Attorney, Councilmen Balch with-
draw his previous notion, and moved that to condition of an additional
220 W, -back from the east property line be delted from the motion made

quirements. The cost to the City of such encasing is about ;300.00• as
this is a City responsibility.

amount of $200.00, plan checking fees overpaid, and $1,988.72, drainage
fees/ a total of $2,188.72. This item will appear on the bills' reso-
lution at the nex. meeting. This is merely to serve notice and give ad-
vance explanation.
