Rec- oDlllended for approval by Planning Commission on August 10, 1970. Planning Direct~r Sisk delivered visual aids while presenting a des- cription of the overhang in question. He said the overhang would con- sist of a IS-foot canopy and a 2-foot eAve into Parcel B and added that this overhang would be of a temporary nature. Hr. Mayor Stokes indicated concern about the garbage situation existing on the property to vr.ich Chief Building Inspector Benevich replied that arrangements have been ..de for an enclosed storage area to alleviate this condition. Hr. Seebach also cocm~nted that there would be a cardboard baler enclosed within the buildi~in addition to ~he above receptacle. City Attorney Anderson inquired as to the possibility of a professional architect designing the landscaping for the area surrounding the store. Hr. Puetz, Chairman of the Planning Commission, caae forward at this point and remarked th4it the landscaping is only temporary and has been scheduled for review by the Planni~ Commission within three months. Hr. Seebach said the landscaping had been previously designed by a qualified architect and felt that the architect should also de~ign the final landscapbg plan. Solicitation request by Contact Telephone Ministries. Hr, Ryder introduced this request for a 24-hour answering service for an international organization consisting of those of the Christian faith based upon income from solicitation. This organization is requesting a permit to solicit locally from churches and individuals to support their activities and bas previously received approval of the Solicitation Committee in San Jose.
