RESOLUTION NO. 3576
A RESOLUTION OF TIm CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF A PORTION OF IMPERIAL AVENUE AS
PROVIDED IN SECTION 8320 EI SEQ. OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORlHA, FIXING TI~IE AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE THEREOF
W1IEREAS, that portion of a city street known as I~perial Avenue and more
particularly described in description and map attached hereto and made part
hereof as Exhibits "A" and nEil, respectively, is unnecessary for present or
prospective ~lmlic street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council elects to proceed pursuant to the provlS10ns of
Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the public interests that the City Council
elects to proceed to order said vacation;
NOW, THErrEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby declares its
intention to vacate the aforesaid portion of a city street:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the 17th day of December, 1973, at 7: 30 p.m" in the Council
Chamber, City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, Californi~ is the time and
place fixed for hearing on the above proposed vacation;
2. That the aforesaid date is not less than fifteen (15) days from passage
of this resolution pursuant to law;
3. That the City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to
be published in the manner prescribed by law, and shall cause certified copies
to be posted along the linË of said property proposed to be vacated at least
ten (10) days before the date of hearing and no more than three hundred (300')
feet apart with a minimum of three (3) being posted.

_Imperial Avenue to be Abandoned
All that certain real property situate in the City of Cupertino, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, being a portion of Imperial Avenue (74.00
feet wide) as shown on that certain Parcel Map recorded in Book 284 of Maps
at page 35, Santa Clara County Records more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of Parcel 2 as shown on said Parcel
Map, being also a point in the general westerly line of Imperial Avenue as
shoYn on said Map;
thence leaving said general westerly line, N. 0°01'00" W., 37.76 feet;
thence N. 89 ° 51' 05" F.., 101. 76 feet to a point in the general easterly line
of said Imperial Avenue, being also the most northwesterly corner of Parcel 3
as shown on said Map;
thence along said general easterly line in a southeasterly direction, along a
non-tangent curve to the right, having a radius of 287.00 feet, concave to
the southwest, whose center bears S. 31°00'46" W., through a central angl~ of
39°52'26", an arc length of 199.73 feet;
thence continuing along said general easterly line, S. 19°06'48" E., 662.82
feet;
thence leaving said general easterly line in a westerly, southwesterly and
southerly direction, along a non-tangent curve to the left, having a radius
of 60.00 feet, concave to the East, whose center bears S. 13°21'55" E.,
through a central angle of 110°59'44", an arc length of 116.23 feet to a
point of cusp, being also a point i~ the general westerly line of said
Imperial Avenue;
thence along said general westerly line, the following courses:
thence in a northwesterly direction along a non-tangent curve to the right,
having a radius of 287.00 feet, concave to the east, whose center bears
N. 55°38'21" E., through a central angle of 15°14'51", an arc length of 76.38
feet;
thence N. 19°06'48" W., 662.82 feet;
thence along a tangent curve to the left, having a radius of 213.00 feet,
through a central angle of 58°22' 51", an arc length of 217.03 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
