ERC Recommendation CITY OF CUP�RTINO RECOMMENDATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE October 2, 2014 As provided by the Environmental Assessment Procedure, adopted by the City Council of the City of Cupertino on May 27, 1983, as amended, the following described project was reviewed by the Environmental Review Committee of the City of Cupertino on October 2, 2014. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION Application No.: EA-2013-03 (GPA-2013-01, GPA-2013-02, MCA-2014-01, SPA-2014-01, Z-2013-01) Applicant: City of Cupertino Location: Citywide DISCRETIONARY ACTION REQUEST Certification of Environmental Im�act Re�ort for a General Plan Amendment, Housing Element Update and Associated Rezoning; General Plan Amendment to establish citywide development allocations for commercial, office,hotel and residential uses and development parameters for key study areas (including the Vallco Shopping district); General Plan Amendment for the 2014-2022 Housing Element as required by State Law; Rezonin�of certain parcels in conjunction with the citywide General Plan Amendment; �ecific Plan Amendment to the Heart of the City Specific Plan related to maximum residential yield calculations and an updated map to conform with the General Plan; Munici�al Code Amendment to comply with State Housing Law and the Housing Element of the General Plan and other zoning code amendments for clean-up and consistency FINDINGS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE The Environmental Review Committee finds that upon concurrent approval of the General Plan Amendments for the project as outlined in the Draft Environmental Impact Report, the projects (MCA- 2014-01, SPA-2014-01 and Z-2013-01) would be consistent with the General Plan and recommends that the City Council approve the Resolution recommending Certification of an Environmental Impact Report(EIR). � Aarti Shrivastava Assistant City Manager g/erc/REC EA-2013-03
