CALL TO ORDER
Tom Walters called meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
1. REVIEW OF MINUTES- Postponed, February 25, 2016 minutes approval

Santa Clara County Fire OES: Joe Guzzardi, Louay Toma, David Flamm, Christie Moore

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None
REPORTS
2. County Fire:
a) David Flamm reported LHMP vendor selection in process, Emergency Operations
Plan to be submitted to County Supervisors in August for approval.
b) Joe Guzzardi reported from Training: Working on Executive and Elected Officials
Training, end of year so slowing down on training activities; working with Karen
Levy for City employee mandatory training.
c) Louay Toma reported from Logistics: County Mass Notification RFP in process,
Situation Awareness guide published.
d) Christie Moore Community Education presented new organization chart with new
person added to CERT and PEP training. County Fire is developing a CERT
refresher training program that will be launches in 2017.
3. Citizen Corps Reports:
a) Ken Ericksen submitted and reviewed attached Citizens Corps report,
Discussion about volunteer recruitment and retention a separate group to get
together to review and see how this can be improved.
b) Jim Oberhofer submitted attached written report for CARES.
NEW BUSINESS
4. Cupertino OES Tom Walters reported on department reorganization with OES now
reporting to Tom Walters Sports and Safety, Karen Levy responsible for City Employee
Emergency Preparedness with first objective Employee mandatory training ISC 100, 700
and SEMS with City Manager endorsement.
5. Communication Outage Exercise – Jim Oberhofer

Reported on successful outcome at exercise held on May 7, 2016 with an emphasis on
Packet Radio for message management.
OLD BUSINESS
6. ARKnet Update – Jim Oberhofer – LeHigh site installation completed and reported on the
next steps and sites scheduled for project. Funding for second phase is included in the 2017
budget pending approval.
8. Citizen Corps Training Calendar submitted and approved
9. Work Program Committees- Sub-Committees reported status:
No reports made.
