Mr. Oakes, director of the Rousseau Organization, briefly
described the action of the Planning Commission Meeting of
July 8. This was confirmed by Mr, Leonard, Chairman of the
Planning Commission, who reported that an affirmative vote
was given on the residential zon1ng for the portion of the
Rousseau Subdivision already within the City.
Moved by Counc11man Meyerholz that the recommendation of
the Planning Commission be adopted as to land asa and ten-
tative map, subject to inspection by Mr. Fleming,
Mr. Oakes said a final map would be forthcoming in one
month, He requested permission to erect models just off
Stevens Creek Blvd., the plan~ specification, and grades to
be approved by the City Engineer. The Mayor indicated approval
and said that Mr. Fleming is authorized to work out these
matters.

III A letter from Frank Ledato of the Argonaut Company
addressed to the Chairman of the Planning Commission and
dated July 8, was presented to the City Council. Ledato
agreed in the letter, to dedicate sufficient land on Stevens
Creek Blvd, to permit widening to 120 feet _ to dedioate
sufficient land on Highway 9 to permit widening to 120 feet,
It also mentioned a letter from the Cupert1no Sanitary
District stating that satisfactory arrangements have been
made for handling the sewers. The required storm drain fee
has been deposited with the City and the letter said that
satisfactory arrangements for storm drain have been worked
out with the City. Mr. Leonard said that all details bla
uee~permit have not yet been decided. The time element
mentioned in the letter from the Planning Commission has been
questioned by Mr. Ledato, who takes the position that financing
arrangements require a 15 year lease with 5 year options,
After some discussion it was moved by Councilman Saich
that the proposed Ledato service station be approved without
time limit, assuming acceptanoe of other conditions of the
Planning Commiss1on. Seconded by Councilman Pelosi and
carried 5 - O.
IV Tula ~De Prob1.~, The Chairman of the Planning Commission
described a fourfold requirement, namely, street d~dlcat10n,
street improvement, storm drain deposit, and sewer commitment.
Af~er discussion, the folloW1ng conditions were stipulated,
(1) Each owner pave the street to h1e north line, (2) set
back to allow a 60 foot street, (3) written agreement to
dedicate if necessary to widen to 60 feet, (4) storm drain
deposit; per Resolution N&. 77, (5) sewer commitment.
Upon receipt .of letter stating agreement to above, a
bu1lding permit will be issued.
Mr. Leonard described the status of the Bethel Lutheran
Church a~p1ication, a new developement being a City request
to im¿rcve and dedicate a 20 foot easement on the north
prope;.'t;¿' line in. order to merge with a 40 foot street adjoining
~'n t:¡.~ I Yò property.

VI Moved by Councilman Meyerholz that the Clty grant to the
people in Bubb 1 annexation the same conditions granted to the
Larson and Angelo property w1th a letter so stat1ng to be
forwarded to each person in the annexation. Seconded by
Counol1man Saieh and carr1ed 5 - 0,
The Mayor authorized the City Engineer to conduct the
negotiations, Councilman Lazaneo, Mr, Forge and Mr. Fleming
were appointed to oonfer with the people in Bubb 1 annexation,
The City Clerk-Administrator was instructed to prepare with-
drawal of protest lettets for the signatures of the four
property owners registering protests at the July ? hearing.
The following actions were taken at the request of the
City Engineer,
VII Counoilman Meyerholz moved that a 60 day extension, as
of the day of expiration, be granted A. J, Peters & Son,
contractor for Corte Madera Highlands¡ seconded by Councilman
Saich, and carried 5 - o.

VIII Moved by Counc1lman Saich that the C1ty Eng1neer be
author1zed to contact De Leuw-Cather Company, the engineering
firm completing a .raffic study for the entire County and
its Cities,
IX Moved by Councl1man Saich that the developer of the
Yamaoka property take Portal Avenue dotíln:to proper grade and
repalr to the edge of the old road, if neoessary; seoonded
by Councilman Lazaneo and carried 5 - O.
Meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M, until July 11 at 8:00 P.M.
