II¡ Ordinance 002H, An Ordinance Of The City Of Cupertino Amending
Ordinance 002 Which Ordinance Incorporates Ordinance NS 1200 Of
The County of Santa Clara By Repealing "Professional Office Dis-
trict" Classification And Adding The Classification "Profession-
al Administrative Zoning (PO-H) And Further By Adding The Class-
ification "Light Industrial Park Zoning" (M-l-PH),
Ordinance 002H, the regulations for the professional administra-
tive area for the Stanford Lands, and the County zoning ordinance
which is presently in effect in the City of Cupertino, were
compared.
Definition of catagories in the uses permitted, area limitations
as to minimum lot size, lot dimensions, building setbacks, and
building heights were discussed,
Louis Segal stated that the ordinance should be as restrictive
as possible on the ground that a variance can always issue if
need be,
Will Lester of Lester & Lester suggested that 100 ft. rear yards
be required adjoining R-l district. Robert Michaelson agreed.
Mr, Segal proposed that asphalted parking lots be banned within
100 ft. of R-l,
IV Resolution 431, A Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of
Cupertino Opposing Assœbly Bill No. 125, was introduced by the
City Attorney.
Moved by Councilman Jewett that Resolution 431 be enacted by the
City Council; Seconded by Councilman Saich.
AYES: Councilmen: Benetti, Jewett, Lazaneo, Saich, Pelosi
NAYS: Councilmen: None

MOTION CARRIED: 5-0
AB 125 proposes to make it unlawful for Cities, as a condition to
the granting of a rezoning or variance, to require dedications.
V Moved by Councilman Lazaneo that the County offer to improve the
Stelling Road shoulder for $500.00 be accepted and the City Man-
ager be authorized to issue a purchase order for the improvement
of said road strip, roughly 800 ft. x 10 ft.; Seconded by Council-
man Benetti.

MOTION CARRIED: 5-0
VI The Mayor requested that a place be made on each agenda for a re-
port from thenew Water Committee of the County Flood Control Dis-
trict. He also proposed a resolution supporting said Committee
to be ready for the next meeting,
Louis Segal requested additional landscaping controls to prevent
unsightly commercial areas especially along Stevens Creek Blvd.
He recommended the commercial sections of Los Altos as good ex-
amples of proper landscaping.
VII Councilman Benetti amended his motion to adjourn to include ad-
journment of the meeting to Saturday, March 25 at 9:00 A.M. so

that the Council could journey to the Stanford Industrial Park; ~~
