Re: Large Deodar Cedar tree at the above-mentioned address.
Dear Rashmi:
At your request, I Inspected a large Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodaral tree in your left side
yard. The tree is approximately 26" in diameter, approximately 65' tall and has a crown
spread of approximately 45'. The foliage is normal and the tree is healthy at this time.
However, as you know, this tree has experienced numerous limb failures, including one
large Ilmb Is down now on your neighbor's property. This cedar tree is also leaning on
the fence and its' root crown is very close to various underground utilities. This is
another case of wrong tree, wrong location and the tree has no future potential between
two houses. Due to the fact that no tree should have been planted where it is and you
have extremely limited yard space, I am recommending no replant of any new trees in
your side yard. You already have numerous young trees planted where there is space,
and the tree service or landscaper that would perform the work would have to plant one
where your existing trees or vegetable garden is. In this case, it doesn't make much
sense to dig something up to plant something else. In lieu of planting a tree the city may
let you pay a fee to go towards planting trees elsewhere in the city.
If you have any questions, I can reached on my cell phone, 40&691-3696.
Sincerely,
