OF THE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
APPROVING AN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW OF A RECONFIGURED PARKING LOT AND
LANDSCAPE AREAS AT AN EXISTING SHOPPING CENTER (CUPERTINO VILLAGE)
SECTION I: PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Application No.: 11 -ASA -00
Applicant: Re -New Sealers
Location: Wolfe and Homestead (Cupertino Village)
SECTION II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee of the City of Cupertino received an application for an
Architectural and Site Approval, as described in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee finds that the changes are beneficial and compatible with
the surrounding area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this
matter, the application no. 11 -ASA -00, is here by approved; and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are based
and contained in the public hearing record concerning Application 11 -ASA -00 as set forth in the
Minutes of the Design Review Committee Meeting of May 10, 2000, and are incorporated by reference
herein.
SECTION III: CONDITIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPT.
1. APPROVED EXHIBITS
Approval is based on submitted plan sets (3 sheets), except as may be amended by conditions
contained in this resolution.

2. REMOVAL OF LANDSCAPED AREAS
Landscaped areas 1-6 as shown in Exhibit C shall not be removed or modified.
3. TREE PLANTING AND MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL
Six 24" box redwood trees, to be served by an operative irrigation system, shall be planted on the
west property line (in the planting area under the word "Lane" on the site plan). Other evergreen
trees sepecies, similar to the species in that area, may be planted as recommended by the arborist
and approved by staff.
An arborist shall prepare a tree maintenance plan to describe a tree removal and
replanting/maintenance plan for the failing Monterey Pines, to be approved by staff. A $10,000
bond shall be posted to assure the planting of the redwoods and the proper maintenance/removal of
the Monterey Pine trees and their replanting. It shall be released upon an arborist's report that said
trees have been successfully planted, maintained or removed.
4. RESTRIPING SCHEDULE
The restriping schedule and circulation plan shall be implemented as shown in Exhibit E, or as
modified through staff approval.
5. PERMITTED USES THAT GENERATE ADDITIONAL PARKING
Any permitted uses generating additional parking demand require additional review by the Design
Review Committee.
6. NOTICE OF FEES, DEDICATIONS, RESERVATIONS OR OTHER EXACTIONS
The Conditions of Project Approval set forth herein may include certain fees, dedication
requirements, reservation requirements, and other exactions. Pursuant to Government Code
Section 66020(d) (1), these Conditions constitute written notice of a statement of the amount of
such fees, and a description of the dedications, reservations, and other exactions. You are hereby
fiu-ther notified that the 90 -day approval period in which you may protest these fees, dedications,
reservations, and other exactions, pursuant to Government Code Section 66020(a), has begun. If
you fail to file a protest within this 90 -day period complying with all of the requirements of Section
66020, you will be legally barred from later challenging such exactions.

Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the following roll call vote:
