Update Economic Development Plan
Carol Atwood discussed several council goals for economic development: 1) list
available space on the website; 2) develop a brochure to promote economic
development in the City; 3) continue work with the new Valleo owners; 4) target
specific businesses to locate in Cupertino (movies, bookstore and restaurant). The
committee discussed the current plan and concluded that the plan was rather large
in scope and that focusing on a three or four projects each year would be more
beneficial.
It was agreed that an updated plan would be presented to the committee in
February, the available space and desirable businesses would be reviewed in
March and the brochure with a draft letter would be available in April.
