CALL TO ORDER
At 8:10 a.m. Carol Atwood called the meeting to order in Conference Room A, 10300
Torre A venue, Cupertino.

NEW BUSINESS
A.
Developer's Perspective on Cupertino Market
Carol Atwood updated the committee on the purpose of the study session held with
city council regarding Cupertino's market. The committee viewed the powerpoint
presentation that was shown during the study session

OLD BUSINESS
A.
Proposed Growth Initiative
Carol Atwood updated the committee on the current status of the initiatives. She
indicated that signatures are currently being received and the initiatives are quite
restrictive. The City is doing its due diligence by performing a study to ensure
that all legal issues are addressed and whether the City can meet its housing
element if the initiatives were to pass. Orrin Mahoney reported that the Chamber
of Commerce board approved opposition to the initiatives and will be partnering
with other concerned organizations.
B.
Review Contact List of Specific Targeted Businesses
Orrin Mahoney distributed a list of 100 retailers in the u.S. for the committee to
review and determine which businesses it would like to attract. Orrin indicated
that he would get contacts for the list of businesses that were proposed in the
Economic Development Plan.

Ciddy Wordell distributed the report and reviewed the status of several
developments with the committee.
