OLD BUSINESS

Outreach Action Plan
Carol Atwood stated that the plan would be updated and distributed at the next
meeting,

NEW BUSINESS
A.
Presentation by Peter Pau - Cupertino Village
Peter Pau discussed the Cupertino Village and stated that they try to have a good
mix of stores to keep the center up-to-date, He also stated that they do their own
code enforcement and spend 50% more on building maintenance. Cupertino
Village currently has 44 tenants and there is less than 5% turnover. Peter stated
that the biggest problem the center has is recruitment of workers due to the high
cost of living.
Peter suggested that the Redevelopment Agency be strong and proactive working
with current anchor stores at Vallco, He also suggested that the City work with a
consultant to develop a master plan for Vallco.
Interact Proposal- "Adopt a Neighborhood"
B.
David Knapp suggested a proposal where kids interact and encourage others to
clean up their neighborhoods and tie the businesses in the area to the project to
encourage participation.

Sign Ordinance Proposal- Chamber of Commerce
Jody Hansen reported that they are waiting for final text to be approved.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMITTEE UPDATES
Ciddy Wordell distributed the updated development activity report, She indicated that all
projects under construction are moving along very well.
