Regular Meeting

1. CALL TO ORDER
At 7:38 a.m. Carol Atwood called the meeting to order in Conference Room A of Cupertino
City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino.
2. ROLL CALL
City Staff: Carol Atwood, Bob Cowan, Steve Dowling, Dorothy Steenfott
Councilmembers: John Bautista
Chamber of Commerce: Tom Hall, George Steele
Absent: Don Brown, Donna Lawler, Lauralee Sorensen, John Statton, Bert Viskovich
3. NEW BUSINESS
A. Economic Summit Follow-up.
Carol Atwood reviewed the flipchart items obtained from the summit discussion groups
and requested input from the committee on the best way to incorporate the ideas into
Exhibit A for the coming year. The group decided that City staff should organize the
items that the committee can work on.
B. Business Incentive Agreement - Apple.
Carol Atwood reported that the business incentive agreement with Apple was approved
by City Council on May 5. She also stated that the overall press coverage has been
favorable.
2. OLD BUSINESS
A. Economic Development Brochure
A draft copy of the text has been received for review. Once the photographs and text
have been selected, the draft brochure will be presented to the committee for approval.
B. Progress Report of On-Street Parking - Fontana's Restaurant
Bob Cowan reported that Alex Byer is currently doing space studies. He will be meeting
in the next two weeks to follow-up
C. Davidson Chevrolet Agreement
Carol Atwood reported that an agreement has been reached in concept and an agreement
is being prepared.

C. Site Visits
Carol stated that she has contacted Micro Module and was told to meet with their new
human resources manager. She will making an appointment in the next two weeks.
