A.
Vallco Update
Carol Atwood reported on a meeting that was held with Teachers Pension and
reviewed the list of action items that the City may use. She stated that it appears that
Federated is in violation of the REA (Reciprocal Easement Agreement) because the
lease requires that the space be used for high-end retail. Lauralee Sorensen agreed to
contact Joe Simitian to alert him to our situation and John Statton will contact
Cuneen. The committee agreed to wait until the temporary restraining order is in
place before making any press releases regarding Federated's attempts to downgrade
the mall.
B.
Brochure
Carol Atwood distributed the new economic development brochure to the committee.
The committee members were pleased with the final product. Carol stated that the
inserts are currently being worked on, but the jackets can be used for other mailouts
as well.
4. MISCELLANEOUS COMMITTEE UPDATES
Bob Cowan reported that the Sedway Study will be reviewed at the next meeting. He
suggested that the meeting be scheduled for two hours and asked the committee to review
copies of the report for the next meeting.
