City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue.

NEW BUSINESS
A.
Web Site Policy
Carol Atwood updated the group on the web site policy. She stated that
businesses are beginning to request that there be a link on the City's web site and
that a policy should be developed. The group discussed a draft policy and
determined that government should not be involved in the advertising business.
The committee decided that a link could be provided for non-profit organizations,
but beyond that, the City should not provide links to businesses.
B.
Internet Tax Incentive Policy
The committee discussed a draft Internet tax incentive policy similar to the
proposal that was used for the Apple Computer tax incentive agreement. The
policy will be presented to council and site visits to local companies will be made
to encourage businesses to have a presence in Cupertino.
