OLD BUSINESS
A.
Cupertino Appreciation Night
Carol Atwood distributed the San Jose Giants flyer and promotion plan. The Flint
Center will be added as a ticket distribution point and a request will be made for
San Jose Water and TCI to advertise the event with their monthly bills.
B.
Shopping Center Incentive Program
Steve Piasecki provided a summary of current activity at the Marketplace.
Corporate office space will replace the previous market. A revised landscape and
parking plan will be submitted within the next two weeks. Respresentatives from
the Evershine Group stated that the city has been through more than 40 plans for
the center and suggested Steve Piasecki, Wayne Kubo and Todd Yee meet with
on March 22. A status report will be provided in one month.
Steve also reviewed the development status activity for Andronicos. The theater
lease and the request to add a pedestrian walkway on Mary Avenue were
discussed.
Richard Lowenthal requested that we develop a formal retail master plan stating
what retail mix we want to retain/attract. It was suggested that this could be a
topic for an economic summit and be added to the 2000/01 goals. In addition, we
should maintain an updated list of available space to enhance the marketability of
a retail target base and provide a fast track of approvals for these businesses.
