CALL TO ORDER
At 7:26 a.m., Carol Atwood called the meeting to order in Conference Room A,
Cupertino City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue.

OLD BUSINESS
A.
Farmers Market
Mike Rohde reported that the Farmers Market will be held on Friday's in the
north parking lot at Vallco with the Pacific Coast Farmers Market who came from
Town & Country. He stated that they expect 2,000-3,000 customers each week
with 30 percent of the customers being from Cupertino. The Farmers Market has
been marketed in the Mercury News, through corporate contacts, 60,000 mailouts,
radio and in Vallco Mall advertising. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held
on May 26 at noon. The Farmer's Market will continue through October with up
to 70 vendors.

Marketplace Update
Continued to the June meeting.
C.
Vallco Update
Carol Atwood updated the committee on Vallco Sales. Don Brown gave an
update on the Vallco RDA project which will be adopted on June 19,2000. Staff
and consultants are meeting with the Jacobs Group today. The proposal is going
towards an entertainment center including theaters and office. Discussion
occurred on what type of mix should be in the mall and whether specific retail can
be identified.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMITTEE UPDATES
Steve Piasecki gave an update on development activity. The Marketplace will come to
the next meeting.
Richard Lowenthal stated that we still need a meeting room for 500 people (Kimpton's
meeting room is for approximately 300 and the Senior Center 250).
The Avon three day breast cancer walk will start at Faria School on July 28 and end at the
Golden Gate Bridge.
