NEW BUSINESS
A.
General Plan
Ciddy Wordell presented an overview of upcoming changes to the General Plan
and the reasons for the upcoming revisions. Vera Gill presented the housing
element portion.
B.
Stevens Creek Banner
Carol Atwood reported that the Farmer's Market had requested that their banner
be hung during all 11 months. The committee did not feel that the City should be
the only advertising source and were in agreement that the banner be hung for as
long as the ordinance allows. It was suggested that other alternatives be actively
proposed.
C.
Sign Ordinance
Steve Piasecki reported that the City Attorney had found a way to advertise events
with signs in the public right of way. It was suggested that all departments who
would be impacted by this change, i.e., Code Enforcement, be notified with the
details and/or training to enforce this exception.
4.
OLD BUSINESS
A.
Cupertino Appreciation Day
Carol Atwood stated that she felt the event was very successful. It was suggested
that any tickets available be given out during the Art and Wine Festival each year.
